I was in a friend’s garden, on the border of England and Wales, a little over a week ago and I was amazed at the sheer carpet of snowdrops that welcomed me at every turn. These wonderful little plants are a delightful sight and start the new season of flowers and growth. It is so late for these to still be in flower – although with a winter that has been colder and lasted longer than we have grown accustomed, it is hardly surprising. A pleasant surprise I would add. The news today reported that magnolia trees are a month behind. I am sure that nature will tidy up our growing diary and if it doesn’t, there is little that we can do to encourage things.
The snowdrops always make me think of the awakening of nature and her getting into full stride.
We may have set our goals for the New Year and then along come these delightful little flowers to remind us of new growth. Perhaps new growth that we should be creating in our own lives. In our own businesses. In our own community.
It certainly got me thinking about what I could, should, would do. I hope it has given you a nudge too!
My good wishes for your growth,
Peter
